About Us

Eastern Vikings Area Cricket is one of 8 Areas within Kent's Area Cricket Programme (ACP), designed to help the best club and school cricketers develop their skills and technique, as well as physical and tactical awareness. The Area Cricket Programme (ACP) is the first step on the Talent Pathway within Kent.

Our programme bridges the gap between Club and County Age Group cricket for players aged 16 and under across Canterbury, Thanet and Dover.

Operated under licence from Kent County Cricket Club since 2015, Eastern Vikings provide a high-quality training programme throughout the year to support junior development in preparation for competitive matches.

The programme exists to talent spot, develop and prepare players for county cricket. Players that show enough potential during Area training and matches will be nominated by our Area coaches for Kent County Cricket Club Talent Pathway trials, which normally take place during September and October.

Over 20 players from the Eastern Vikings Area have represented the Kent County Cricket Club Talent Pathway across all age groups since the programme began.

We are a performance cricket programme, but we like to create a fun and supportive environment and enjoy seeing our players develop and grow.

Enjoy.

We run an Area Cricket Performance programme, but we like to have fun too.

Develop.

Every player develops at a different pace, but continual improvement is what we encourage and nurture.

Succeed.

We aren't just about winning matches, we aim to help players succeed in their own personal goals and reach their potential.
